Facebook contacts not syncing

Weird issue for me: there are a couple of contacts in FB that aren't being added or syncing.

Have you tried to manually assign them?

Yes. But, for whatever reason, sync.me isn't finding him in my Facebook friends list, so I can't link or assign him. Another weird thing is that it only shows 13 contacts syncing even though I have way more than that.

They show a disclaimer that the app matches up contacts with photos that are available. They don't sync with your FB account. That's not allowed anymore.

yeah I read the disclaimer, but I noticed that it updated many of my contacts and continues to do so...

Hey man! I had never visited this website in the past, so I hand't seen your post until now. If you're still struggling with this, know that what Facebook did was offload the contact sync features to messenger to force everybody to get messenger. So if your facebook messenger app is hosed or if you didn't reset it or give it the right permissions when you refreshed your phone, that's what the interrupt is. If you install both from the get go with all of the
"phone home" level permissions it will allow this functionality without problems like you expect. I for example, have a rooted custom Android 6.0 rom which has Super SU policing what and who wants what level of access, that affected Messenger's ability to access my contacts and therefore broke my sync as well.

Yeah, it was after I factory reset my phone (Note 4), did I start having issues with contact syncing. I've been using SyncMe, but that's still missing some of my contacts and it changed a couple of others to people I don't even know! Funny thing is, my Windows Phone never had an issue...and still doesn't. Weird.

this BS. I loved having pics of all my friends on my S6 Edge... now it's lifeless with no pics. I am not downloading a 3rd party app just to get them back. FB should bring the functionality back. This is LAME AF.

FB, about 5 years ago, decided they didn't want to share contact info as they feel they own it. Google disagreed. Contact sync was taken out of stock Android. Sucks for some people but it is what it is.
