Facebook crashing...

The problem seems to be the facebook beta program. Try to sing out from beta and re-install the app from the store. It worked here.

Same here. I signed out of the beta, uninstalled updates and then reinstalled and everything is normal now.

Every time I try to reply to a comment on Facebook, the app crashes. Anyone else having this problem?

Last 2 days it's been happening. I cleared all data from FB app, then uninstalled. Restarted phone, and did a fresh install. Updated all firmware in phone. Still crashes. So pissed.

Yea, I have been having the same issue on a HTC One M7 and a Nexus 6... uninstalled/cleared app nothing.

Confirming fix on OnePlus One with BlissPop (loli 5.1.1)

Looks like beta issues. I kind of forgot I was in the program. Specifically search for the Google doc to make it a bit easier to find.

Nuts. I tried unjoining the beta group, uninstalled/reinstalled after 30 minutes, even restarted my phone.. no luck. DRAT!

Started yesteday for me too. Uninstalled and reinstalled. No change. WTF? Hope to hear about a fix soon?

Mine still isn't letting me install the non beta version

Ok, so I've discovered a fix for those that are still having trouble.

Get hold of someone who has the stable version of the app, get them to download ES File manager. Once downloaded open it up and click the menu button and on the menu scroll down to "apps" then find the facebook icon in the main window, long press it and choose "backup". Then navigate to thebfolder it saves it to and send it to your phone (bluetooth etc) and install on your phone. You'll need to make sure your phone is set to allow installs from unknown sources

Did you wait 10 min or so before you reinstalled Facebook? I reinstalled immediately, and it failed. I rebooted my phone and waited about 10 min and it worked.

I don't see that as a group. I do have "Beta Program" in settings but when I choose it I get a page not found error. I searched for Beta Program and found it but when I click on it I get "that profile is currently unavailable".
It seems like this beta build has made it so I can't leave the beta program. :(

Google: Android Facebook Beta Program, sorry can't post links, stupid account rules... Once you find the page on Google groups, make sure your not joined as a beta user, if so leave the program.

Uninstall Facebook
Wait 30 mins, reinstall

Doing so should drop you from the problem build of 37.0.0.1.234 to the working build of 36.0.0.39.166

Yes, this does work. For some reason, I was a "Android Facebook Beta Tester" but funny I didn't sign up for it. Like most of you, my issues started after the last update so evidently we were placed into this "Beta Tester" group then. I'd like to know what we are "testing".

Follow the instructions on this link:

https://www.facebook.com/help/153855648136155

This will give you the 36.0.0.39.166

I've been on Google Plus trying to get some answers. So far nothing. I though we were on to something when someone suggested it may be SwiftKey causing the problem. Sad to say, that wasn't the problem. I tried with the Samsung Keyboard and it still crashed.

I have a nexus and I'm on the stock Google key board same issue I'm thinking this is a software bug

I uninstalled and waited an hour. Now I can't wven find fb. The only one in the playstore has a T for teen. I'm thinking that's why I can't comment. I looked online but only see one from a third party site.
