I have the same issue S10+. When I turn off wifi the comments show again. I think it's a bug with the current iteration of the Facebook app.

My issues have actually popped back up. I got a notification from Facebook that the app was updated and that's when it started going down the crapper again. I've just pinned the website to my home screen now.

My issue never really got any better. My app hasn't been updated recently either. I hate that I am using my data rather than wifi when I'm at home. I tend to forget to turn it back on and use more data then

If you are using a Samsung, you can use the Routines feature in Goodlock. It will automate many things, including turning wifi on and off for you based on the parameters you select.

I actually just downloaded fb lite which is ch works while on wifi.

I continued having issues. After digging around on a trusted site that offers APKs, I found an Alpha version of the full Facebook app and have been using it for a few days. Just put it on my husband's phone yesterday and our issues now seem to be resolved.
