Facebook is behaving weird

Hello everyone, I have an issue since the latest 3.4 update to the Facebook app on my stock Nexus 4.

When I log out and clear all data and cache, I get the Facebook that we know from the website with the three logos for Friends, Messages and Notifications at the top of the screen and the left and right areas for bookmarks and chat.Now I am closing the app and also close it's background process. Now starting the app again and my screen looks totally different. Gone is the look like the real website and I have four blocks at the bottom of the screen for News Feed, Messages, Notifications, and Bookmarks.

Anyone experiencing the same issue or have a solution? I tried uninstall, reboot, reinstall. Force Close, Clean Data and Cache. Nothing seems to last.

So why are you closing it down?

Sometimes I do that by accident to clear all background activity. Old iOS habit.

When you go to settings>about within the app during the display of both interfaces, does it show the same version for both?

Yep. Version 3.4. And I found some old pics online that me to believe the version with the four buttons is an older version and not for 4.2.2, yet somehow it reverts back to that one.

On the Nexus 10 it's so bad, that the modes switch just by going from the new feed to notifications and vice versa.

Since the 4.3 update, it seems as if everything is back to normal. We'll see.

And it's back to being strange again. Update to 4.3 didn't help either. Anyone any suggestions?
