Now I know the name of this thread my just turn some people off but can any one tell me why the SMS setting isnt in my facebook messenger? Just updated the app

Hmmm what device is that?
I ask because it looks like a Nexus but you posted in an S3 section.

On my Nexus 4 & GS3 it appears there.
My carrier is T-Mobile though...might be a carrier restriction.
What's your region & carrier?
And is your SIM inserted?

Not sure, might be a ROM restriction then.
Was it there before you updated today?

Uninstall the current version & try an older version.

I am having the exact same issue and have tried reverting to totally stock and other touchwiz ROMs. My buddy and I with the same phones (his not rooted) looked at our facebook settings and everything. It's really odd. Anyone have any thoughts? Would love chat heads for SMS, I don't actually use Facebook that much but would like to use the SMS part... Ugh
