Facebook notification won’t clear after reading on Samsung Galaxy s7

On my Galaxy s7 FB will show a number of notifications. I go check them out and clear all of them. Go back to homepage and it still shows I have notifications when I know I don’t. Only way to clear it is to restart. How can I permanently fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about the unread count badge only, or are the notification icons still showing up in the status bar?

I have the same problem as the original post.
It is the badge counter for me. It says 1 but when I go to messager it doesn't show any new information.
