Facebook notifications blocked?

My girlfriend has a Droid Incredible on VZW, and I've noticed that she'll get FB notifications on her status bar, instead of having to go to the app itself. Does Sprint prevent them from sending notifications on their network? I've checked my app settings to hers, and our phones are identical.

I dont know if Sprint has blocked them because they would have said something about it however Sprint's wonderful network [/sarcasm] does sometime cause issues with being able to recieve SMS based Facebook notifications.
EDIT: Also at times there is issues with receiving app based notifications as well

I didn't think it was limited to just Facebook, but I figured it was a good example of the situation.

FB doesn't send notifications by default. You have to enable them through your FB settings. Maybe that's what you need to do. I do receive them in the notification area.

They usually come in for me, using sprint. However, occasionally they won't.
