Facebook Notifications Not Working

I know this isn't related to Nexus 5 in particular but Facebook notifications have completely stopped working. There are all turned on but I never get a sound or a notice in the pull down shade.
Any idea of how to fix this or what is causing it?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I have the same problem with my Galaxy S4, I'll get random notifications. I've Uninstalled and it didn't fix the issue.

The only way I've been able to semi-fix the issue is to have me notifications go through me emails. Only down fall is your bombarded by bs Facebook notifications that I don't care about.

It's worth going to the App Manager or Settings>Apps, selecting Facebook, and making sure the Notifications checkbox is checked.

I have a similar issue.... My notifications for Facebook are random. Sometimes I get them other times I don't. Its very annoying.

Yeah there still not working. After several updates (using beta version) even got the new ui, notifications still don't work

I don't get notifications either. I wonder if it's a generic Facebook thing as I had the same issue on my iPhone before migrating to android
