Facebook photos show up in gallery?!?!

This is what I did... and it actually worked for me.
Go to your settings, then scroll down to "Accounts" heading. There you should see "Facebook" underneath that heading. Click on it. There you should see your facebook account at the top. Click on that. Then at the bottom of the screen you will have two options: sync now and remove account.
Then just click remove account and they albums should be gone!
Here is a screen shot of what the last step should look like (except I already removed my facebook so I will use my google account as an example)

Hi.

I did have access to all my facebook photo albums in my gallery on the samsung galaxy S3. However they now no longer appear. I am not sure why. I have done all the reccomended synching etc and now have all FB friends details on contact list and planner/organiser but still no photos.

So can anyone help me, how do I get my FB photos back accessible in my gallery?

Thanks Carl

if this doesnt remove the albums straight away just go to settings > applications manager > swipe to all > scroll down to gallery > tap force stop then clear data then reopen the gallery. the clear data thing doesnt delete any photos stored on your SD card, it only removes cached files etc on the internal memory.

Edit: forgot to quote the original post lol it was vaca232's post "Go to Settings>Accounts and Sync>"Facebook (for syncing)" and uncheck "Sync Gallery"

I don't know if this will remove the facebook albums from the gallery, or just stop updating them."

Mikest, I wish I could kiss you. I have a Samsung exhibit (it's the Samsung s3 mini and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT). the facebook pictures have been driving me crazy and I keep deleting the gallery. I've searched so much on how to turn that off and this worked PERFECTLY. thank you. Now, since you are so well-versed in this, my only other complaint with this is i'm running out of space. I have an sd card but all I can put on this is documents and pictures. I can't load apps. the hidden app and clean sweep programs don't even give me an option to move anything to my sd card. I purchased a Prism II for my mom and daughter and these allow the sd card to really be used for space and I love it. Is this a Samsung thing? If so, i'm never buying another Samsung after this. I have to keep deleting apps. I have 248mb available space left and I've been told you need at least 150mb for the phone to function properly so i'm pretty close to the limit. the total for the phone is 1.34gb but since it gave the option for an sd card I went ahead and bought it anyway. it's the perfect size to fit in a pocket and not nearly as obnoxious as the larger samsungs but had I known then what I know now, I would have just gotten the prism II. Advice? I'm running android version 4.1.2. thanks!!!!!

Stacy,
What does Settings -> Storage show on your phone? Can you post a screenshot? (Should look something like this.)

Note that it is Google, and not Samsung, that is making SD cards less useful. Any phones that use Android 4.0.4 (ICS) and lower still allow you to move apps to the SD card, but that functionality is no longer supported by Google in Jelly Bean and above (although Samsung apparently put a workaround in the S4 to add that support back).

This helped so much I hated having the Facebook synced in my gallery my phone is only 16GB and that was one of the problems I had taking up storage. I use Google Photos so I don't need all that extra photos everywhere on the phone thank you so much.
