before 2.2 update whenever someone in my friends list would post something there would be a little green circle that would pop up in my favorites with a number of how many things they posted under their picture . now it no longer does this . it really pisses me off because i liked this option . anyone know how to make it work again

IMO Facebook was bad even in 2.1. I used it for a while after the Froyo update and I noticed the same "crapiness". It would always give me connection errors, it doesn't let you see comments in photos, and the notifications never happened properly (and/or on time). I went back to just using the website. Honestly, I really disappointed that the Android app is not at part with the iPhone one. When I had my iPhone I never had to log in to the website to do anything.

You are referring to FaceBook for HTC Sense. You need to make sure you are still signed in to FB for Sense and have it set to sync (the FB Android app is a different login)

To do this go to Settings>Accounts&Sync>FaceBook for HTC Sense. If you don't see the FB for Sense listed, select add account and add that account, if you do see it listed, select it.

Click on Account Settings and verify your update schedule (how frequently you want Sense to sync with FB to update your contacts' status updates). Then make sure you have Live Feed and Sync Contacts checked.

After this, you can force a sync by selecting Sync Now. This should fix you up.

thanks but that was all good and it still does not pop up the little green circle notification .

will this unsync it as well?
In the past I was able to sync pics only with contacts in my device...now it has everyone's birthday in the calendar, etc. and while on a call it scrolls their fb status.
I know you can choose not to display that calendar or those contacts, but figured I would ask.
