Hey all thanks for stopping to read and I hope you can help me.

I have Facebook setup on my Droid X and want to stop receiving notifications. i don't mind the emails but the notifications are getting ridiculous. I went into the Universal mailbox and thought I turned them off however they still keep coming up. Anyone have any other ideas to get these to stop?

Are they set up through FB itself or the app?

That I'd have to check. I believe thru the app.

You'll have to disable them through the app if thats the case.

I believe the universal inbox will only disable them if it's through FB. Even then I'd disable them on the site.

I got a ton of notifications at first through the site. I had to tell it to only notify me on certain things.

You can turn off notifications from within the facebook app. It's in the settings.

Well

This seems to have stopped the notifications however now I am getting FB chat messages. I don't want to go offline because I am chatting online with Trillian but how in the world do you stop chats now? This is getting increasingly frustrating

Can't help ya there. It never even actually sends me chat notifications anyway. Don't know why.

You need to go offline to stop Chats. This will also conserve on battery.
