Facial recognition on last update!!!

I thought that was Google's implementation which we already had, not LG's feature which is new. Not sure how LG's implementation is different.
I have no idea... But i dont use it since im so used to just using the fps

I just received the TMO update over the weekend and I still cannot find this setting. I've searched the device as well. Nothing is found. Anyone know what to do or what is going on?

I tested it out and it actually worked really quickly for me...even the setting to work even with the screen off. I disabled it, though. Not interested in the face recognition and it just feels a little creepy to basically have my front camera always watching...

Haven't tried it myself will have to take a look. Not sure if it is on mine. To be honest the fingerprint sensor has really impressed me. Seems once they are registered, no matter at which angle I place my fingerprint, I unlocks immediately.

as and aside, I was reading the comments about the police forcing you to unlock a phone via your fingerprint. I don't think that is correct. That is still considered a search, no matter what method is used, and they either need a warrant or your consent (maybe that is specific to the state you reside?). They do not need a warrant to take your fingerprints and photograph to verify your identification or to check your fingerprints to those recovered at a crime scene or upon arrest (depending on the degree of the charges). as a matter of fact, depending on the charge they are required by law to record your fingerprints and photograph.

Unlike on OP 5T, on G6 its too slow, it take ages for phone to recoginze the face. I find it very unusefull on the G6.So i'll agree with you bull it works half the time.

I don't really like face unlock - I feel like it's not secure enough in some cases (ie, how many individual features of the user does the phone memorize to know it's you when you unlock it? Could someone who has similar features be able to unlock it? That would always be my concern).

I much prefer the security of a fingerprint scanner and a PIN number, just in case. It's not like I have banking or super personal information on my phone as it is, but still.
