Factorty reset won't erase my Android data?

Hello, I'm going to sell my old Samsung Galaxy S5, I'm scared somebody will recover my private inforamtion! I heard Factory reset doesn't completely erase dat from Android phone, is this true? If so, how can I earse my Android data without recovery?

Encrypt first then factory reset?

[FONT=&quot]Be sure to unmount and remove your SD card first (if you have one). Then encrypt it, then factory reset. No chance of anyone getting your data.
