Hopefully this helps some users out there frustrated with the EVO 3D since the ICS update. I finally broke down and did a factory data reset for the first time ever. It sucks having to re-download everything and set up your homescreens again, but the phone really does work a lot better now. It fixed of a lot of those little glitches that started happening after the ICS update that you can live with, but are annoying:

No more screen artifacting when I open up certain apps
Keyboard (Swiftkey 3) is more responsive and doesn't disappear randomly
Fixed the multiple voice problem in Google Navigation
Battery life much improved
Notifications that were broken in certain apps work again

As a matter of fact everything is working pretty much the way it should. The only con is that all the Sprint bloatware that I thought was deleted is now back (spider-man, blockbuster, nascar, etc.) and I can't uninstall them, again.

More tips:
Turn off animations in developer options. Definitely makes the phone feel more responsive.
I forgot to backup my notes in Colornote when I did the factory data reset. Don't do that!
Backup settings under Privacy options
Backup pictures/music onto your computer or Dropbox or however
Stop using Chrome as the default browser. It's still super buggy and the stock ICS browser is surprisingly awesome: give it a chance.
