My final fix ended up being a motherboard replacement. Asus wanted over $200 for the mobo replacement, but I was able to get a 16gb mobo off Amazon for $30-40 and replace it myself.

Was it easy to replace the motherboard yourself?

if it's pretty simple might just try this myself, does this 100% fix the booting issue though ?

Try doing a adb sideload of the OTA image. Worked for me

As you can see from several of the previous posts it's often necessary to replace the motherboard in order to correct the problem. You can find tear down instructions on iFixit or just search YouTube.

You haven't been very specific about your problem but if it's the one described by the Subject of this post then there's not really a good solution for you - it's a hardware problem, which would require replacement of the motherboard in your device. Sorry.

My digtal2 tablet is stuck in erase mode how can I fix it

Just woke my tablet up (sat in cupboard years).
It's stuck on 'Erasing' with the android 'man' spinning away.
If I press power and vol + it tells me it's Formatting /data.

I've a feeling I stuck it in the cupboard because it sat there for days doing this, and I gave up / let the power run out.

Is it salvageable?

Not sure it will let me get there…
I’m sure I got to a command line menu before..

when u press the power/volume+ it should take to recovery if u see a android bot just presss those buttons again then recovery menu should pop up

Within seconds should go into recovery, maybe hold the power /volume+ for a few seconds after

Nope. Best I get is holding power to switch off. I can then switch on,get Google logo... Then back to Erasing bot.
Holding power and tapping Vol + swaps between the 2 pictured screens.
