Factory reset stuck on "erasing"

Nope. Best I get is holding power to switch off. I can then switch on,get Google logo... Then back to Erasing bot.
Holding power and tapping Vol + swaps between the 2 pictured screens.

Strange should have worked, have you tried to get any tips at XDA site?
