Factory resets

Anyone know if a factory reset will wipe the current "Security" BS that AT&T just saddled us with and return the ROM to the original version? Actually, does anyone know if those security settings have anything at all to DO with the ROM?

I'm trying to get my phone back to the factory state in hopes that the current rom will revert to a pre-june 2014 rom -- which would let me root the thing to return give it the functionality that I bought it for.

No, that won't do it.

You will have to use Odin to install the original firmware..

Everyone talks about Odin, but no one ever says where to get it

Regardless, from what I've read, the AT&T "Security" update block ODIN from working. If I understand correctly the update locks out the bootloader, which apparently ODIN needs to work. It's possible that I'm misunderstanding that, but that seems to be what I'm reading.

Just out of curiosity though, where DOES one obtain a stock ROM and ODIN?
