So I followed the instructions in the sticky and when it got to the point where it rebooted after selecting the 'hboot usb plug' option, and when it finally finished loading the phone to its original screen, it rebooted itself again and then went back into the hboot screen where it then proceeded to go through a series of menus where it kept counting down and telling me to enter the microsd card for something to do with the Clockwork Recovery. In retrospect, maybe I should have done this but not sure if this was the right thing to do since the sticky doesn't mention this step, I just let it countdown and let it load to the phone screen again. I don't think it actually ended up rooting even though the Unrevoked says "Done" because I can't find a "Super User" app under my applications. Just tried restarting the entire procedure again and now when it's running the root, it gives me a message that says "Error: failed to get root. Is your firmware too new?" Sigh, everyone told me it was easy as hell to root your phone but I didn't expect to run into this many issues...

Any suggestions?

Actually my bad, when I go into hboot screen, I do see that it says s-off on top and I actually do have the SuperUser Permissions under applications. But what's up with that menu that told me to enter the microsd card? Did I miss some crucial step that prevented it from doing a full root or something?
