Why do you seem to think I am trolling looking for dead threads?

The first time I said anything about a dead thread was within a post by mmarz entitled "Measure Your Battery Life and Brag About It!" In which I clearly asked that, since the thread died, is anyone still collecting the information. A legitimate question in response to someone who posted new information.

The second time I ask another question in regards to why a post was made in a thread (Zefie's CM7 for the Optimus V (Current: 03012011) by icemank121), when the post they were responding about was clearly very old, and the thread is misleading noobs to install an, unsupported ROM.

The third time (which just so happens to be this thread) I requested that the individual, which also happened to be the poster from my second time, quit resurrecting threads and ask their questions in the appropriate threads where they could get the right answers.

Now if you would please stop following me around. You're comment toward me was just as useless as you were trying to make mine appear.

It would be EASIER if I was not using my phone to browse thru these android-type forums. I don't have the ability to use a computer like you do. When I had a laptop to use, I was able to go to the right places and post my issues. But instead of hassling me that I'm posting on a "dead thread", try telling me that nicely and maybe post a link where I'm supposed to go? Also (with that 2nd thread you talked about) I'm NOT flipping thru 100+ pages via mobile just to read every post just to see if its "dead" or not. I do a google search about my issue(s) and click on any page that comes up regarding that issue ...sooo... Now that you know that i'm STRICTLY mobile, maybe you won't be so rude to me.

The bolded red exert..

In the title of the thread it says "Current: 03012011", this being September I would think hmm maybe I should check the last pages to see if this is still current.

Now that you have admitted that you wont take the time to scan a thread past the first page I suspect people will be LESS forgiving then you stating your doing this all from your phone.

That Red part you so graciously highlighted was about the zefies threads...NOT about this one. Learn to pay attention. FTR, I can see the date on this particular thread, and that this thread only has 3 pages to look thru....not 100+ like that zefies one.

And (on my phone) it starts at checcles post for 06/26/2011...

Is it just in your nature to be rude??

Not to get in a arguement but your next sentence following what I highlighted.

So its safe to assume you dont look to deep just post a response. I mean you said you werent going to flip through a hundred pages. /boogle

Heather if I was being rude the mods would give a infraction. Trust me I know. I am just using your words to counter your argument.

I know it sucks to have to search on a mobile. But that is no excuse for posting in a thread that is dead and had you read your response and scrolled up a tad would have seen it was dead. I mean duh the text quoted was there multiple times trying to keep people from asking questions as the rom was dead and most issues either fixed or carried to the new roms.

I still don't get why you are referring to it as a 100+ page thread. It was just over a 3rd of that at 36 pages.

The Main issue at hand was that you responded to a post that wasn't only 7 months old, but was on the 1st page of a 36 page thread without even bothering to think it may have been answered. (Which, by the way, with minor searching on my phone, I found on page 6 of that same thread) Your response to said thread was also pointless, and offered incorrect and useless advice.

And as far as this thread is concerned, the thread addressed 3 month old issues and supplied 3 month old answers. If you would have looked under the thread about the ROM your were attempting to install, or even posted a new thread with your problem, there wouldn't have been any issue. But when threads like these are resurrected there are always noobs trying to make sense of them, and following old outdated advice that may or may not be harmful to current situations.

As I stated before:

Please quit resurrecting dead threads. If you are having trouble installing a ROM, post a comment under that ROM's thread. If a thread does not exist or cannot be found, add a new thread with your issue.

I was polite and did point you in the direction that your question could be answered.

So lets not get all bent out of shape, and let this ridiculous issue die. Just please try to refrain from posting to old dead threads unless there is a good, sound reason to.

Well whatever you are seeing, I am not. Apparently I'm going to have to be labelled as a "noob" to you, because I don't flip thru a bunch of pages & I'm not doing the "proper" search/post techniques. Whether its 15, 36, 80, 100+ pages, I flip thru a few & then quit, I might jump a few pages, but when I posted my questions - I didnt think I'd have to deal with someone like you.

Long story short, I have no idea what thread you are referring to that I gave wrong info on & I guess I'll quit posting on any site if its always going to be such a major hassle to get answers....but its pointless talking to you - you will always presume you are right and I'm a noob, so this thread is definitely dead, all the way around. Cuz I'm out.
