falling out of love with the HTC one :(

Do you have anything to back up your statement?

These are actual sales numbers from the stores, but since it disagrees with your beliefs, they must be wrong.

There may be some actual numbers to back things up somewhere, but they aren't apparent on the chart.

So you got a phone that those of us on Verizon *WISH* we could have, and you're unhappy, why? Because you feel inferior somehow? Because for sure your PHONE isn't inferior to anything else on the market. Your phone doesn't define you.

They just give rankings, the most you can do is based on averages over the last few quarters guess what actual sales numbers maybe. Still more surprise about the Windows phone on Verizon, I am assuming that is more because of lack of education on the quality of Windows 8 and lower pricing.

Well you did warn us ;)
I have both the iPhone5 and HTC One and am leaning towards the One. This thing is awesome and stylish. Besides what's wrong with being different.:p
HTC made the most awesome phone on the planet (arguably) and it turns heads when pulled out in a crowd.
I love it!!

I don't really see what you got so upset about.....pictures? Why don't you just get a real camera....you said almost nothing about the HTC itself, and that is the problem with consumers, they are so set on the marketing.

Advertising? don't give a crap if they advertise. But I have seen several adv on TV the last few days. But who really cares.

The one is an amazing device no doubt about it but Im getting bored of it... For lack of better words.

At times I feel used
Lovin you darlin'

At least where I'm at (SLC) the HTC One didn't come out on any carrier other than t-mobile and that was not until mid-May, don't see how these numbers are very relevant.
THANK YOU! The s4 was out in April. The One didn't come out until mid May for most people and even then HTC had a delay because they couldn't get parts (especially surrounding the components used by its camera). So of course there will be additional sales for the s4. The numbers mean nothing.

No, it should be out in a few weeks.

Keep in mind that it might be released to people in Europe first--but heard that's no longer the case. Even if HTC gets it in a couple of weeks but am hearing later this summer or fall--the carriers won't release it until they get their greasy hands on it and load their crapware--unless you have the pleasure of own an HTC unlocked/developer version. At this point, it's anyone's guess when the end user will actually see it.

Actually I'm hearing later this week.

Correct, but keep in mind that once it comes out for the Developers Edition then the devs can make it for the other versions of the One, and possibly even other HTC phones.

Actually, no. The One was released in Europe well ahead of the S4 and at least a full week ahead of the S4 in the US. I would know because I bought my first One before the S4 came out and then bought the S4 within my 14 day remorse period.

Apologies if this thread has taken a turn at some point in the last four pages - I confess I didn't read all of it, but just to respond to the OP: it's very easy within the mobile phone world to get consumed with the "grass is always greener" effect. I just had the privilege to use a Galaxy S4 side by side with a HTC One for a few days, and there's no comparison. They weren't my devices, so I couldn't root either of them to see if custom roms would have made a difference, but here are my (very high level) impressions:

1. TouchWiz is too "different" than stock android for my tastes. Sense 5.0 is pretty much the same interface only with blinkfeed as one of the panels (and you don't even have to make it your home screen). There are some differences with the menu structure and minor things, but I love the clean feel of it. Touchwiz feels like it permeates every corner of the interface. The sickly green color that Samsung likes to sprinkle everywhere in their interface is ugly as hell IMO.

2. AMOLED is still too punchy, to vibrant, too oversaturated, and whites still aren't "white". The HTC screen is incredible. Blacks are SUPER black - only barely less than AMOLED. The Samsung screen isn't even CLOSE to bright enough in direct sunlight. I can't believe I dealt with it on the Galaxy Nexus as long as I did!

3. The GS4 has quite a bit more lag all around. Not much else to say, but it felt like driving ICS on the Galaxy Nexus, somewhat.

4. I don't like that Samsung phones always have some kind of protrusion on the back for the camera. It just feels sloppy to me, and doesn't feel good in the hand.

5. There is absolutely no comparison on audio. The speakers on the One are about the only ones I've ever used on a top-billed phone that beat the iphone for loudness or clarity. The GS4 sports the same awful tiny speaker with compromised location that so many previous Samsungs have. It hasn't gotten better with age.

On the other hand, the couple things I really liked about the GS4 were the controls (I really like the physical button and the "back" button on the right), and the size of the display relative to the handset. They've really gotten those bezels down. The removeable battery and storage is nice too.

I'm the process of switching from my ip5 to the One (90% certain I'm gonna keep it, but not entirely). Based on my experience with the GS4, it doesn't even come close to either of the others. Keep your One, I think you'll regret it if you don't.
