Well it was sadly time to replace.
6P has started to get flaky with random reboots and weird battery issues.

However main issues for me(as posted previously) very poor Bluetooth performance and constant muffled calls for the person on the other end.

Went with a Note 8.
Miss the fingerprint sensor location, screen width and personally liked the colour on the 6P screen better.

So much so I have people commenting how clear my call is now when they don't know I have a new phone.

Disappointed the 6P missed the mark on two basic phone features.

Did you ever try getting it replaced? The Bluetooth issues are a crapshoot but the muffled call problem sounds like a bad device, not something that regular 6P users are just putting up with.

You know, looking back I just used my works phone more!
It only really hit home as people are now commenting on how clear my calls are.
Phone is 14 months old,so still under warranty.
Dont know whether to go direct to direct to Huawei or via my retailer (Carphone warehouse UK)

From my experience the other day, you're WAY better off going with your local retailer, if they'll help you out.

No question, one of the truly great things about the 6P is its screen, and the consistency, or that last part was, until recently, for me.

I think there's a "new phone filter", because almost every time I get a new phone it seems, everyone seems "crystal clear", until I forget about the "new phone factor", but that's just me ;-]

I could hear everyone fine on the 6P.
It was those on the other end who would describe me as muffled.
I'll drop CPW an email listing the issues and see where it gets me.

cheers

Having my N6P replaced via Google; sorted it today

Kept shutting off at 30% battery, did a full reset, tried again with just the OEM native apps, did exactly the same and then was a sod to turn back on!

Spoke to Google today and they're replacing it with a 'as new/fully refurbished and 2 year warranty' N6P handset, so they say, so will be interested to see what does arrive!

I'm in the UK with a Google bought handset using a Three sim FYI

So tempted by the Note 8 and Pixel XL, but going to hang-fire until the new Pixel comes out to see what the specs are and if they're not that impressive over the current Pixel XL, I'll probably buy one sim free from CPW

Make sure to test out the replacement device with accubattery. Give it a few days to run to really gauge the health of the battery. I got a refurbished replacement device with a battery that was at 85% health, so I ended up requesting a second replacement that checked out at 100%.

I still love the 6p, but the battery takes serious TLC to keep it from deteriorating. I think the main thing is to get it on a charger before it gets below 20% as often as possible. Accubattery is big on also not charging it above 80%, but I think that's less important in the scheme of things.

I actually just sold my S8 and I came across a nice guy who had a brand new Nexus 6p sealed in box never used. 64g. He sold it to me for $150! I'm still in shock over the deal I got. I can only hope since mine is brand new that I won't have any battery issues.

Same exact issues for me as well, people on other end of calls say I'm really muffled, only fix has been to talk with speakerphone on, then it goes away. I have crazy battery drain and phone shuts off at between 30% - 40% battery life.

Bought through Amazon, so not much I can do warranty wise, my year was up in March.

I'm waiting for Pixel 2XL most likely and will probably just get the $160 from Google for trade in - not sure who would buy it for more with those issues...
