Fast boot is like hibernate. It turns the device off but keeps everything in memory so when you turn it back on its a much faster boot up.

My Droid X used to have a sleep mode option. I do miss that when traveling.

hmm i dont know mate. on android, isnt screen off (sleep mode) the same? the cpu certainly underclocks right down with screen off

I don't think they have it. My rom added something called hot boot which is the same I think but I have no idea.
