Faster way to type numbers/secondary keys

Is there a faster way to type the numbers on the keyboard? Right now, I just hold down the corresponding letter key to get the number. It's ok when doing one number once in a while, but I need to send messages that involve numbers a lot and it gets tedious.

I always just hit the # key to switch to the #s display then switch back. I don't think about it too much now.

If there were a good keyboard out there that included the numbers row I'd happily use that (haven't looked, just occurred to me now).

It's called Hacker's Keyboard and it's free in the Market.

There are some others too. Like ABC 123 Keyboard for $1.00

That (Hackers) is an awesome keyboard. I like the cutomizability. I like getting the arrow keys, function keys, etc... and I like how you can set it only for landscape or so on...
