faulty infuse

I am going on my third Samsung infuse. I love my phone 90% of the time the other 10% makes my blood pressure go up. My first and second phone both stopped Recognizing a charger also both of the cameras broke where the screen would just come up green. It constantly would turn itself off and reboot. Has anyone also experienced these problems?

Yes. Are you on stock Froyo (UCKH1)? The random reboots/turn offs would happen to me fairly often when I was on UCKH1. However, they did go away once I flashed to Gingerbread (UCLB3).

The charger thing was another issue I experienced as well. For some reason, it would not play nice with a universal micro-USB charger I bought, and it would only work sometimes. I'd go to bed, thinking that it was charging, only to wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy with a dead battery.

Honestly, if it's your 3rd Infuse, you should have no problem calling AT&T's customer service department and getting them to upgrade you for free to a Galaxy SII Skyrocket. They'll be nitpicky with you for your first and second refurbished replacements, but from what I know, once you have consistent issues even on your 3rd one, they just boot you up to a newer phone.

When you went in and told them about your issues, more specifically the turning itself off and on, did you have to pay the insurance deductible or did they just replace it? I have had mine for about 5 months and it is getting word and more frequent with the random reboot. And now my applications aren't staying logged in. I have checked the reviews and no one else is complaining about this issue. Just wondering. I really am not looking forward to the next year and a half with this darn p.o.s. thanks for the help.

I'm getting tired of stupid people. The Infuse is well supported if you have a brain. You just don't understand how to change it to something you like. Samsung Infuse 4G - xda-developers

That's quite uncalled for. I myself have repeated same things over and over again on these forums (and to be honest, very obvious information at times), but calling someone who honestly just wants some help those kind of names ismt necessary. Everyone had a noob moment, let's all play nice.

Custom ROMs are a great alternative to the stock ROM that ships with the phone. Zeus with ICS theme seems to be the most popular. I myself was on it and loved it, despite a few bugs. I would wait a few days though, the man behind the project said he plans on releasing a final version of it very soon.

With that said, custom ROMs are not for everyone either. Most likely, you'll like one, but I also do know people who prefer sticking to stock builds due to bugs and unresolved issues on custom ROMs. Truth is, even the stock official ROMs have bugs. Just try many things out and then see what you like.

I had issues with mine too,the first one would kick me off of the network a lot,then my second one would fry my micro sd cards.Finally my third one has worked out,knock on wood...It has it's usually moments but nothing that is unbearable.

Y'all my POS infuse is doing the same thing everyone else's is doing. Freezing up, rebooting itself, gets WAY to hot, loses apps all the time. Internet 4g is slower than the iPhone with 3gs. I always have to force close apps to get them to.work. phone freezes up In the middle of a phone Conversation and drops the call. Annoying as hell!!! I've has this phone about 4 months and its been doing it since day 1. Att tells me its the live wallpapers??!! I
Question is it to late to take this pile of junk back? Thanks for yalls help =}

You are allowed to return your new phone within 30 days and receive the money/credit towards getting another phone... but if it's been four months, unless you can convince them that your phone is very faulty, they probably won't really do anything for you. Your warranty does last for one full year though, and they will send you refurbished replacements if you call their customer service line and convince them that your phone has issues (of course, the issues can't be due to your fault, if they are, they won't send you a replacement).

If you have another line in your group plan that is available for an upgrade, they'll let you use it for your line instead. If you have that option, I'd really recommend the Galaxy SII, they've hashed the price a lot and its performance absolutely blasts the Infuse out of the water.
