Fell in love with the IPhone X

I've got both. About the only thing I like about the iPhone X is the size and screen. Everything else is glimped. No dedicated navigation bar, gestures can be off and frustrating, ios is glimped and limited.

Note 8 beats it on every aspect. Features, speed, etc. Prefer my Note 8 personally

Not every aspect. Sharing between iOS devices is much better than sharing between Android devices as AirDrop works seamlessly. Tapping on the top of the screen to scroll immediately to the top of a page is something I really like that works throughout the device. Seeing a real BT accessory battery percentage is something I sorely miss when I’m using my Android phones and the general fluidity as well is still tops on the iOS side of things.

Of course it’s genuinely stupid not to be able to assign custom ringtones without tethering to a computer in this day and age without some stupid Garage Band workaround. The static icon grid is something I despise as well as the overall inability to customize the UI. Not to mention the lack of folders and ez drag and dropping of files.

There are many other pros and cons to both devices so as others have stated:

I agree. For those of us fortunate to have both it's the best of both worlds.

I ordered the Note 8 not long after release but cancelled it before delivery because I got caught up on the hype train for the iPhone X after playing with it in a store. I've had a LOT of iPhone's and I thought the X would be the change I'd been waiting for over the past few iterations. I always get bored with iOS after a month or so and move on again. Now I've changed my mind again so I don't blow £1000 on a phone I know I'll get bored and frustrated with after a month and my Note 8 will finally arrive tomorrow after changing my mind several times. I know I won't get bored with it and there's tonnes too many features to keep me interested.

Then again I said that with my S8 and s8 Plus....

See you guys later. I tried an iPhone X and it is the phone for me. The Note8 is good just not good enough. I don't get into the theme, wallpaper, icon change scene. I just used my note8 like an iPhone.

I wish you all the best. Have fun!

You trader😒 lol jk hope you enjoy the X

I'd also just like to state that it's nice to read a thread where people congrat someone for switching to ios instead knocking and insulting them. salute to you guys.

Enjoy it. A few of friends have it, and no doubt it's a very nice phone. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. I think Apple did a better job of tuning the Samsung AMOLED screen than Samsung does. It is an insanely quick phone too, and feels solid and very good in the hand. I still prefer Android, and the Note, but it's great to live in a time when we have so many excellent choices.

I'm seriously considering trading my S8+ in to AT&T and getting an iPhone X. I have a Note 8 so I never use the S8+. I might as well. I've had a Samsung and an iPhone at the same time every year since about 2013.

So you buy two phones, only to use one🤔

Unfortunately yes. I swap every few weeks. I can't decide which I like better so I get both. I had the 6+ and Note 4, then the 6s+ and Note 5, then the 7+ and S8+. Now I have the Note 8 and S8+. That's not a good combo.

I had that issue during the Note 7 recall before the Note 8 came out. That year span I went thru too many phones couldn't find one that suited all my needs ended up going between two At a time for awhile.

I've come to realize, this is the best option if ita feasible for the person. I currently carry a note 8 and iPhone 7 with me daily and enjoy them both.

Very true, I think the note fans tend to be adults, professional or artistic types. I could be wrong, but I think us note purchasers are very mature.

I couldn't see getting the X so I got an iPhone 7+ a few weeks ago along with AirPods and three Series 3 LTE watches. I've made the iPhone 7+ my daily phone now. I've never really gotten into using the Note 8 as my daily so I just used it at home these past three months.

Since I'm all about fitness, the 7+ along with whatever Apple watch I'm wearing that day are just a perfect combination. Plus, I bought the 256GB model so I can fit all my music onto the phone and still have almost half the storage space left.

Enjoy your iPhones people! I'm loving mine.
