Go into your settings and force close the app and it won't come back :-) it might if you restart your phone but I haven't tried it.

Pull down the notification menu, long press the power saver, press app info, press force close

What purpose does this serve? Is it just to remove it from the notification bar? If so, will power saver still kick in when the battery drops below 20?

Seems like it wouldn't be able to do so, if it had been force closed.

I'm not sure if it will still kick in after your battery drops below 20% since mine hasn't yet. I just wanted off my notification pull down since it annoys me plus I never turn it on anyway

Theres also an option to disable? would that not be better? at least that way even if you restart the phone it wont come back

I'm not sure but if you want you can try it and let us know in case someone else is interested, but me honestly I just wanted it off my notification pull down that's all

Wow, worked on my evo lte, thanks!!!

Edit: it came right back. Ugh, I wouldve thought htc would fix this by now.

Works for me thanks a lot. Stupid notification imo i never use it

Sent from my HTC One using Android Central Forums

Has anybody tried: Settings -> Apps -> All -> Power -> then check "turn off/don't show" notifications? I've read elsewhere that this keeps it off for good, but I can't verify it. Will somebody try it and post back?

That doesn't work because its greyed out n won't let you uncheck it, but force closing it has worked for me it hasn't been on my notifications all day

Wow thanks. So glad this worked. This does not work on all htc phones. My wife HTC showed thus after updating to jelly bean and it didn't work.

Another possibility is downloading the app: System Tuner from the Play store. It has the ability to "un-grey" checkboxes and enable other features that an OEM's UI/OS render out of reach.
