Figuring out Froyo on EVO

So the update came out for the phone ... I did some research on what is new with the phone. Found out that most of the new features are on the phone, but I couldn't find the new camera improvements that were supposed to come with froyo. The other thing was the main screen on the phone does not look like all the pictures of froyo ive seen on the internet. The one with the little dots telling you which page you're on. A more simplified version of the home screen than when I first got the phone. Is this the HTC Sense thing people are talking about? If so what does Sense do to the phone? I know I have a lot of questions, but thank you for any help!

What you are seeing photos of online is Vanilla Android - IE, Android without SENSE over top of it. That's why it looks different. The HTC Sense UI is overriding some of what the Froyo update was supposed to change (visually). Same thing with the camera...
