What/Which app is being used to edit saved files on your device, from the device? And why doesn't the device popup in removeable storage when connected to the computer/laptop?

Could you be a little more specific in your question.

Stock the SGSIII should come with a file explorer and basic text editor's provided from Samsung.

3rd party apps like ES File Explorer, Astro, Root Explorer and many more are much more efficient and have their own text/html editors included aside from normal file management (delete/copy/paste/rename/zip & unzip/etc.)

Could be possible this hasn't been updated to work properly with the SGS3 yet?

Have you emailed the developer?

I don't really know what files you are trying to edit. While it will show a bunch of text files that you would think may be editable but most of these are system files that require root access. While Polaris will show you these files it is not designed to edit anything in the root directories. I've had no issue editing simple text documents and word documents that I've added to the phone. But you're not going to be able to edit the vast majority of files that originally came on this phone as most are system files.

Now if you are trying to edit files YOU made and saved on your phone, you should be able to edit them (it works for me). But no files made by your phone will be editable without rooting your phone and getting a file explorer that has root access.

Ahhh... Polaris Viewer is only a viewer. It's just like Adobe Reader. If you want to edit pdf you are required to buy Adobe Pro.
