for some reason you are missing files,
in the first pictures it says pushing files, there are 5 files. yet under it you only see 3 packets of data moved. so it is missing some stuff

Edit: If you try again make sure you pull your battery before you do

LOL. I was just typing out a PM to ask if you could take a look at these screenshots. I couldn't remember from when I did one click root if I had those error messages.

Ok i do not want to hyjack the thread but i have news about a galaxy tuner on market that truely does wonders for the fascinate,, droidx and shark let me know if i am wrong to post that here ..if so i will remove it..

That's the same link I was using to download - just downloaded again, replaced the files and wound up with the same result. Is it bailing on the 5th packet after the 4th fails? Any chance the zip on the megaupload site is corrupted?

Any setting I might have wrong in my phone? I seem to be getting the same result very consistently. I've never gotten to the CTRL+C instruction.

Using the ADB method would be much easier or even the cwm+root combo

did you check stay awake? under debugging mode?

Ok bear with me as i am new well almost,,,
i read somewhere that there is a way to be able to use any and all carriers towers for a unlocked android .. i may have that crossed up with the iphone ,,i think its called unlocked where we are rooted .. crap i am really cornfused now.. hahaaa

yeah you are correct but that applys for a different setup, even if we were to unlock a fascinate you could use it with maybe 2 other carriers, cricket or metro pcs other than that all other carriers are on a different type of network and verizons phones do not have the hardware to use them.

LandShark are you still in VooDoo mode. i rooted mine to Voodoo and it seems to be easier on my battery. but i use the larger battery ...

i stopped in a long time back and bought a 32 gb sd card from a verizon store... would that sd card be loaded with a tell all file to verizon.. kinda sounds like i am paranoid but i dont want Verizon to know i am anywhere or nothing about me other than i have a unlimited plan.

thats great new DroidX, i feel like you deserve a replacement but didnt have the means to get one for you.. when you get the new fascinte ,well new to you,, you will feel like yer on top the mtn again. yer advice has helped me more than one could ever imagine.. i have used yer post many times to get myself outta trouble,, your contributions to this community are an important factor to us whom believe in yer expertease. crap if you or LandShark says cut of phones for a day,,mine would be cut off as soon as i read the post..i and others have confidence in you.. once again i hope you get the phone soon..

No because an SD card can simply be erased. if they were going to tos do that they would hide it in code of the software

ADB is doing the same thing - it seems I don't have the rage.bin file - where does that come from? I have the following files in the FacinateRoot_v02 folder:

Do you have an antivirus, if so disable it. rage.bin is an exploit which is like a trojan. an antivirus sees this as a threat that is being installed without your knowledge so it removes it.

Good call. I had my Trend Micro client disabled, but it was still killing it - found rage.bin in the logs from the past 2 days. I uninstalled Trend and got the download correctly.

Yes, thank you uglyyeti. Sorry you had to go through all that trouble, but this was a good learning experience for me to watch. Now if someone else has a similar problem with one click root, I will know what to look for.
