Finally, A Moto Droid I Actually Like!

This phone actually looks really good! I like it a lot. It is actually the first decent looking Moto Droid phone I have seen. I personally hate the Moto Droids, I dislike their design but this one actually looks good. The specs are pretty amazing. I still think that Droid Incredible has a better look but this phone blows it out spec wise. Motorola you should have started your Droid line like this! Definitely a push forward in my perspective. I still wouldn't get it but I am super amazed with Motorola. "They are moving up in the world!" lol just like Kia lol

The reason u like it is its a clone of all android nice soft round edges. Not industries tough like the Droid or DroidX. To me it looks like the evo evil twin. Lacks the memory aspect the DroidX has.. will I buy it unfortunately yes ill have to.

I like it, but not worth the upgrade at this point. I will have to wait to see what else comes out by the end of the year.

Been seeing a lot of complaints about Motorola around the forums lately. I don't understand the reasoning. I love my Droid X. The hardware is very solid. Same with the Droid 2 I owned. Motoblur is a non-issue for me because I use LPP, even though I don't believe that motoblur is that bad.

My main complaints for the d2 have been blur and the horrid camera quality. If this fixes those I will buy it the locked bootloader hasn't been that bad I have a custom rom without blur but even if I had it I would run adwex over it anyway

My thoughts exactly. I've never really cared too much for their industrial look. But this... ah I could learn to love that one. Its actually very cool looking. Specwise its the truth.. blows away everything currently out. And I think I'd even try blur just to get this if it has it on there.

That's because it isn't industrial looking at all! I'm wondering if this should even be concidered a Droid.

I like it as well, but why the 512MB instead of 1GB like AT&T got, it comes down to what Verizon wants and they seem to skimp.

That revaluation has lg skin on it with Bing even bigger fail on my book. Though the skin doesn't look half bad

I would honestly buy a G1 before this phone. Unless the bootloader is unlocked so I can run a real ROM on it. The hardware is sexy as f*ck I'm not going to lie, but it's just simply not worth it to me. I have been suffering with this awful Droid X for a couple months now and was forced to switch back to my Incredible because of lack of real custom ROMs. Motorola got it SOOOOOO RIGHT with the OG Droid and then RUINED it with blur and the bootloader. WHY MOTO WHY!!!! I wish OEMs and carriers would realize that there is in fact ways to go about letting us unlock phones without them loosing money........ sigh until I find a nice dual core phone that can be rooted and nand unlock then I'm going to wait it out.

It's not vanilla Android at all. It actually has a touchwiz kind of skin on it . I know it's hard but it actually looks worse then Blur. THAT'S PRETTY HARD TOO!

I'm holding judgement until I see product in stores and dates actually mean something. Right now Verizon is hot and heavy with Jobs in the backseat of their daddy's caddy. To me it seems that Verizon is delaying Android devices to get the iPhone money in February/March or is that Emperor Jobs command.

since it doesn't dock like the atrix, the 512 of DDR2 ram is still phenomenally better than ALL phones out, as flash ram on the X is not DDR2. The 3D GPU is crazy. Love it or hate it, this beast is bionic! Still looks dark and industrial, good job Moto, well done.

I'm with johnly, if anyone doesn't understand the significance of the DDR2 ram do some research. This is a step forward. Not trying to start anything, but it is significant.
