Finally changed my Screen Protector and that has made all the difference

I've tried two different zagg protectors and both were a flop... I'm beginning to think there is no perfect screen protector for this phone... oi.

"Screen protectors?" Who the hell uses those things. What a scam. Took the preinstalled one off shortly after I got the phone. Unless you're an ***** who carries loose change and nail files in the same pocket as your phone, you'll have no problem whatsoever going without any of these nonsense screen protectors. They're all a complete waste of money and they all detract from the phone's usability by interfering with its touch sensitivity.
While I agree with you and I have not used a screen protector since the first droid/iPhone 4 (my s10+ screen protector was off before the plastic in the frame), but just because we don't used em doesn't mean there isn't real world use for them. My wife for example, doesn't keep her phone in her pockets, it's in her duffle bag/purse. Without a screen protector, her screen would be destroyed in a week.

So you went with the Whitestone Dome Glass? Bahahahahahaha

Exactly. Even the people who paid $70.00 for the Whitestone are saying the FPS is hit or miss.

I swapped my Prism White S10+ for the Prism Black, and then finally settled on the Prism Blue a couple days ago, taking advantage of Best Buy's return period. The Prism White had a manufacture date of April 5th, but just registering my thumbprints was a chore. I had to press so hard I was afraid the pressure would crack the screen. The same goes with the Prism Black, which had a manufacture date of March 31st. My Prism Blue has a manufacture date of April 21st, and it gave me no problems during the registration process. I'm using the factory installed screen protector for now, but I've noticed less issues with the scanner on this one.

I think it just comes down to developing muscle memory of the way you place your finger on it. You have to move it in every direction you can when scanning, even if you only move it slightly. I also alternate my thumbs with each scan, instead of fully scanning one thumb and then the other.

I liked the screen protector that came with it. I used mine for quite a while, until I'd scratched it up too much and needed to replace it. I just (last night) put on a Zagg InvisibleShield Ultra Clear ($20 at Best Buy). The difference is obvious. While the one that comes with it works pretty well, especially for being "free", upgrading is so much better.
