Finally experiencing some issues

Found a way to prevent some of the signal variation. In the 'phone info' app, I changed the radio settings from GSM+WCDMA to WCDMA preferred.

I'll test that one myself.
Settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks/network mode

It works pretty well actually. But regardless, my G2X is going back today. I got the used GS4G today, and its night and day compared to the G2X when it comes to signal. It has never once dropped down to no signal, where the G2X would constantly cycle.

Oh well. I can live with the GS4G for a little bit while I wait for the Sensation.

EDIT: Just got back from T-mobile, and apparently they can't do what I want them to do. If I return the device I'll also return the contract, but whenever I want the sensation I'd have to pay full retail. I'm thinking that I'm just going to hold on to the G2X, and then sell it when I want to get the Sensation. (If I end up getting it) Verizon's selection of devices sucks right now, unless I want to get a 3G DX2, so that's a no go. Same with Sprint and AT&T. (God help me if I ever decide to go back to AT&T's network) The way I view it is this; I should be able to get a minimum of $400 for my G2X on ebay. If the sensation ends up being $499, I'll only be out $100 or so.

I liked the Galaxy S 4G, nice screen, snappy fast with the 21mbps 4G,
but the 200mb of internal memory.......what were they thinking ?

Yeah when I ran out of space halfway through installing my apps I lost it. The phone itself is really great. TouchWiz (T-mobile's flavor) isn't too terrible, and overall the experience is pretty good.

I'm still at a loss for what to do. I want a dual-core device with 4G speeds, but WITH an interface I really like. That leaves out Verizon and AT&T entirely. I could theoretically see what the Evo 3D is like, but Sprint's coverage sucks and WiMax isn't as fast as T-mobile's HSPA+ is.

So I guess I'll be going for the Sensation at full price. (damn you T-mobile!)

I sold my GS4G for 375. The G2X should definitely get you 400 minimum. But why would you want the Sensation? Sense (even 3.0) is a resource hog. Vanilla android is 10 times greater than that. The G2x, even though it has a few issues, is worth those issues. It's the best phone on T-Mobile and I would venture to say even after the Sensation comes out it will STILL be best.

Late to the game. Lol. We've been having this debate for a while now.

For me the sensation is killed by the signed bootloader.

Some of us actually like (or don't mind) sense. Keep in mind that the sensations hardware is going to best the G2x's in every way possible as well.

And it only took qualcomm 1.5 years to catch up to tegra 2. :)

And all but one (very) important way. Signed bootloader. Unless it gets cracked I'll never even consider the Sensation.

Sense is a matter of opinion. I love the new lockscreen. The rest is meh to me.
