I got my update in so cal on the night of the 27th in LA

Yup, I'm just north of L.A. in Ventura county. Got mine around 1am on the 27th... Nice middle of the night gift....except it wouldn't stop dinging the phone till I looked and saw what it was and started the download.

I like it...except the notification strip across the top is too dang small. I can barely tell the icons apart....and the backgrounds are too dark. I'm trying not to use a secondary launcher, but it may be the only way to change the stuff I don't like....

Anyone know of a way to modify texting colors or the notification strip size?

I've noticed that too. You have to turn the brightness up a little more to have it like GB settings.
