Finally got new moto x and not happy, moto active doesn't work.

Just recieved my new custom moto x and i updated right away to lollipop. Now the active display doesn't work. I tried everything but it still doesn't work. ANy ideas. This is why i wanted the moto x. I was looking forward to being able to wave my hand and have the display come up. Not very happy right now.

If it was an OTA update, yes - bring it back and ask them to please fix it. Their update broke it so it's their problem. (If the carrier claims that it's Motorola's fault, or Google's fault, tell them that you're THEIR customer, not Motorola's or Google's, and THEY broke your phone, so you expect THEM to fix or replace it. If they have a problem with one of their vendors that's their problem - you don't need [or care] to know about it.)

We fought a war for our rights - at least go to the carrier's store for yours. Pledge your gas and tires, if not your life, fortune and sacred honor.

Go to Settings > Display and turn Ambient Display off. Then go to Settings > Moto settings and turn the moto active display on. That should do it.
