I think most major carrier's support RCS,
well that part's true although in the future Google is trying to take out the middleman so to speak and provide direct support for RCS.No, actually only one US carrier (in addition to Google Fi), Verizon, supports RCS universal profiles. Other carriers do support RCS but with carrier specific profile which is useless unless you have a carrier branded phone with carrier specific messaging app.
I think most major carrier's support RCS, and ever since beta 3 of Q, my RCS has been broken as many users a reporting that their rcs feature has been broken on the issue tracker and on the support.messages forums.
Apparently so, I thought it was very right lol oh well...Very wrong![]()
Actually in the UK RCS pretty much works on all devices running Pie and on almost every network. Can message between networks as well because Google enabled it using their server. I love RCS now. Have migrated away from Hangouts to messages and RCS with my husband and daughter.
Kirsten, thank you very very much! I know that we are in a beta test environment but there's no reason why I should take Google this long to get RCS working on our RCS compatible phones if you're on a compatible carrier such as yourself or in my case Verizon wireless. And I'm being patient by saying that. Yep, absolutely, I'm so glad that it's finally working again! And glad you got it working again Eric
