Finally! The 32GB has arrived!!!

I'm going to keep my 16GB S4. Its more than enough room for me. I was tempted for maybe like 2 mins but like I've said in the past i don't use my phone for games or as an MP3 player (i have an iPod for music & my Note 10.1 for games). And all my pics, ring tones, & documents are saved on my memory card. So I'm sticking with my 16GB

I've reached the point where installed apps surpass the amount of total available space. And this doesn't even touch the amount of space taken up by the databases of these apps. But of you look at my free space I have well over 4GB free. Being able to mount internal folders to SD card makes free space a non issue and so I too am ok not having the 32GB model.

I'm pretty excited about this. I was impatiently waiting for Verizon to get the One. I then objectively watched videos comparing the two and realized the S4 better fits my needs (better screen, cooler camera features, air gestures). My problem now is whether to get the black or the white, which depends on the case I get from Amazon.

I took the plunge on the 16gb on launch day but my wife wants a new phone so in August I'll get a 32gb for me and give my 16gb to her. Works out perfectly.

The 32gig is going for 249 on contract online right now.

Nice find. I'd like to do the payment plan (the 12 month thing) but yet they don't have anyway to do it on-line. I haven't found a store that will stock the 32gb as of yet. I refuse to be in a contract so I guess I'll dish it all out now.

Assuming I don't wait on a One I'll do the same to keep unlimited. I use about 4 GB a month on my phone right now and I have an LTE iPad as well. If I do the share plan I pay $30 more for much less bandwidth.
If I could get one in a store I would have probably already done it. i believe Verizon wants minimal memory on hones so you have to use more bandwidth for cloud based instead of local storage and they only made a 32 GB available because AT&T has one. But they aren't going to make it easy to get. So they will make it expensive and hard to get and claim people didn't buy them.

Is there a chance that the stores won't ever carry the 32? Has Verizon indicated anything about this?

Look at the pricing...

16GB on contract - $199
32GB on contract - $299

16GB off contract - $649
32GB off contract - $699

So they are technically ripping people off on the "on contract" pricing...

And technically they are ripping people off in general with the off contract pricing as well. $649 for a 16GB when it should really be $549.
HTC has the One at $599 on a lot of carriers and it comes with 32GB!

I had some stores close to me that sold the 32gb S3, but it was a larger, busier store. I think it depends on the traffic/sales they have. Maybe there is a method to their madness when it comes to which stores stock which device.

I posted in another thread that the manager at my local store ( a large one) said she didn't expect to get the 32GB instock at all and cautioned me not to do "Store Pickup" because it only works if the store stocks what you want- it's not 'ship to store'.

Yeah, they kinda have you bent over with this one. I want to take advantage of the payment plan deal, but yet the purchase has to be done in a corp store. But if they don't (or won't) stock the 32gb, your sol with this option.

If there's no difference with the phone besides memory, why spend $50 for 16GB extra?

Because - some people want the extra space. You'll make that $50 bucks back when it's time to sell it (if you do that). The reasoning has been discussed many times so I'm not going to beat a dead horse.

I haven't done it yet either.

Hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have it done.

I need a 32Giger and will have to scrounge up some untraceable cash somewhere. I'm also going Black. :-$
