Be forewarned. If we find some nasty bug hidden in the current test build our R&T team has, it will be delayed. No actual roll-out date is set yet, so its just tentatively September.

Jeez. Anyone else remember the SNL skit Debbie Downer?

So, some rogue HTC employee with access to their twitter account is spreading misinformation?

Hopefully the voicemail notification bug has been skushed! :p

Even when it's officially released, I'll wait to see what others more brave than I say about it. My MR2 TB is just rockin'!!! So I'm in no hurry to screw it up! :) Oh, also I'll wait for the full RUU.

There are 3 RUUs anyone can install if they want GB that badly, doesnt even require rooting. There is almost no difference from Froyo to GB because we are only getting sense 2.1 so overall the phone looks and acts 99% the same as it does on Froyo. Really don't see why so many people think GB is like some savior or something.

+1. I don't see what's so great about it if improvements are minimal and/or can be currently done with apps

Anyone running SHIFTS3NS3 knows exactly what's so great about GB. I did not root till I installed the previous version of this rom because I was tired of waiting on the official OTA. This rom makes stock Froyo feel like it's running in slow motion. This build is so much more responsive than even the stock GB leaks (it's based on the 2.11 leak) it's insane. Plus it has the 3.0 lock screen as well as the ability to add 3.0 messaging.

I think this is the real deal this time. I have a strong feeling it will be prior to the release of the Bionic. Got to try and keep the revenue coming in, even though this phone is basically outdated. How about a big nice surprise: Ice Cream!

They'll have to force push it on me. I don't like the first version of anything vzw pushes. I'd rather wait for you folks to find the bugs and wait for the FIX for the soon to arrive gb ota.

Great point recDNA - now if I only had your self mastery and patience.... Actually, I would probably not have bought a Thunderbolt and would be waiting for the Bionic if I did.

Agreed. Wish the weather widget and clock weather animation worked a bit better, but I really can't complain since I wanted Sense 3.0 aspects that didn't overheat my phone like other Sense 3.0 ROMs I've tried.

The only reason I bought the tbolt was I feared i'd lose unlimited data if I waited for the bionic. As I now understand it I would have been grandfathered and kept unlimited data so I'm pretty angry I didn't wait. I don't have the "patience" to keep up with tbolt bugs.

just flashed this last night. 100% co-sign. once you start unlocking this phone, you realise the thunderbolt really is a beast and that it's obvious htc/verizon caved to public pressure and rushed this phone's release.

There will always be bugs with any build. Sad to say it :-(-. Root and enjoy all of the bugs best cause i do.

You mean like no vm notifications?

LOL.

Most of the GB leaks up until August weren't stable enough for my main rom, the newest leak is fine for me. The no voicemail notification issue would bug me, but I use Google Voice for voicemail not verizon so I still get my notifications, the camcorder does force close after recording a video, but it still saves the video, so for the rare occasion I record a video it's fine, other than that it's a big improvement on froyo, in terms of 3G/LTE stability and handoffs, general rom speed, gps lock speeds, and vastly improved battery life.
I've been running GB for the last month, I'll stay on this rom NonSense 2.11 until the final OTA comes out.
Hopefully they will update the NonSense rom when final comes out, I like everything about HTC Sense, except Rosie so this rom is perfect for me.

The new gingerbread leak is basically awesome, and I'm very picky about stability and bugs, if your rooted you might as well install it.
If your not rooted, their is no reason to avoid the OTA, I'm sure they'll squash the voicemail and camcorder bugs as they are so easy to spot.
I've been looking and I can't find any other bugs

Since GB fixes the bug where my texts I send to my wife end up going to my friends, I'll be counting down the days (when we actually are told a day). *BIGTHUMBSUP*

Do I have to root my phone to install that ROM or is it a full RRU
