finger print sensor not working after recent update

I removed my fingerprints and am trying to reinstall them. I get so far and then get a "make sure your finger covers the entire sensor." Well, I am. But it will not go any farther in the process. Any ideas on what to do?

Apparently, I had to clean my screen multiple times and then it finally allowed me to add finger prints.
 
You can also try safe mode or Samsung members app has diagnostic tool to test fingerprint
