fingerprint reader hiccups

On occasion the fingerprint reader doesn't activate....it goes quiet without the bump feeling. I have to use the pin code and then it's fine.....and no its not after a reboot.

Anyone experiencing this issue?

Hi

If there is a way to clear the cache on the fingerprint process, then try that. Alternatively, if you can enter recover and do a wipe of the cache partition, that might help as well.

Its been fine as of late. I had Nova launcher installed but not in use. Since I uninstalled it's been fine, but could be coincedance. I tried that because I seem to recall some feature in Nova that inhibits finger print sensing unless properly set

I'm using Nova on my G5, no problems with fingerprint.

I've noticed lately after Nova install that I've had more failed attempts when login in. Maybe 2 out of 10 tries fail. Not so bad but did start to notice the hiccups.

Since I removed Nova it has not happened
