Fingerprint Scanner Not Working Well

~70% (tried two dozen times now) chance to get first time.

Havent tried it with wet, cracked, etc. (Gym time)

And all of a sudden I can't make it work at all. Washed my hands, and now my fingers don't read.


Edit:. Lotion. I used some lotion and now I'm getting 100% success.

Go to settings and type in faster recognition. It's under facial recognition

That is still there.

The fps definitely doesn't work as well for me as the S9+ and Note 9 I had. I think I'll just use the pattern. It's much faster.

People like to complain about things. If it doesn't work as they think it should, then it's crap. Some have literally had the phone for a day. It often takes time to get used to something different.

True....same thing with the FPS on the back of the phone. Folks acted like the world was going to end because they couldn't hit the correct spot...and it was never a problem.

Think there has been confusion on the best way to scan your finger. Think if you do it correctly the issues shouldn’t be ther but like any first gen scanner it will take time.

A soft touch has been working well for me. Kind of a soft touch-hold. It's not lightning quick.
