I have a note 5 and never set the fingerprint scanner, as well as never set a backup password. When I go into settings and fingerprints, it doesn't give me the option to add or remove fingerprints, and just wants the fingerprint (which says "no match") or backup password which I don't remember setting.

Welcome. :)

Are you sure it’s not asking you to set up those things?

Josh didn't answer you, so I don't know if he solved his problem or not. BUT I'VE GOT THE SAME PROBLEM.

And were you to ask me the question you asked Josh, my answer would be that it certainly doesn't appear to be asking me to set up those features. In fact, I think my problem goes even deeper than the original poster's. Should I start a new thread?
