Fingerprint Sensor Location

You might wanna re-read your own link. The FBI case? They were forced to hack the phone because Apple refused to provide the means to access. AGAIN, NO U.S. LE AGENT OR AGENCY CAN "FORCE" YOU LEGALLY TO UNLOCK YOUR PHONE. If that Agent/Agency needs access to that phone then they need to apply for and get signed off on a warrant for that device. STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION.

Oh yea, one more thing. If they "The Police" want to force you to use your fingerprint to unlock the phone, THEY STILL need a warrant. Case law is being written on this right now as we speak. Again, you need a warrant. Enjoy, and you are welcome.

Did anyone who's actually played with a Note 8, how tough would it be to use the fingerprint sensor next to the camera?
I love the Note 5 sensor and if I update to the 8 I'd like to be able to use that fingerprint sensor as well.
There are lots of people that like the FPS on the back, I'm one of them. Like others have said you get used to it if you don't like it at first, I liked it at first use, love the swipe down feature.

Couldn't really get a feel for it as the display model I saw was bolted down to the table.

Anyhow less than 2 weeks until I get it in my hands.

The bottom got cut off, but here's a pic of my Note 5 case against my new note 8 case. I don't think it'll be that hard to get use to.

Note5uzer is a troll people. he creates drama on each and every thread. Plus plans to get the iPhone 8, so not sure why he's here except to bash android and its users.

He is not wrong. Read his statement. I am also a police officer. We need a warrant to force you to open your phone. You can do it voluntarily but if not we need a warrant. That's what he said. That's why you don't read a article on the internet as pure fact.

Thank you brother, be safe out there.

Back to the original topic, The V20 has the perfect FPS location for me. I only use it to sign into apps, NOT to unlock the phone.

True. And I am one of them also. I find the location of the fingerprint scanner perfect. When I hold the S8+ or Note 8 (despite the small difference) I have no issue as most of the time my forefinger naturally lies very close to if not on the scanner.

And as others have mentioned a case helps and the iris scanner is a great alternative as well as it incredibly accurate for me. Sometimes the iris scanner is so quick it unlocks my phone before before my finger does!

I got used to it on the S8. I'm just concerned about the length of the Note 8.

After using my Note 8 for most of the day, the rear finger print sensor only seems to accurately pick up my fingerprint half the time. On my S7E, I'd say the front sensor picked it up 90% of the time. I'll give it a another couple day before I decide to turn it off or not.

After using the S8+, this is about about the same. I think the Note 8 might even be a little easier the the S8+ since the sensor is further from the camera and I don't worry about smudging the camera lens cover.

Yeah about the same height, but both are way too high up to be comfortable for me. I also seem to hit the camera often, which is bad. I guess it depends on the person. The Pixel FPS is perfect for me IMO ...

Just have to get use to it. My wife uses the S8+
AND her hands are small, she's never complained. I used the dummy model note 8 in the store attached to table and I didn't have a problem but again I'm 6'4"
