Fingerprint Sensor Location

Poor location and I am starting to think that the talk about a note 9 might be true after the new iPhone specs leaked out. Why they put the sensor on the back again is besides me. This is one or the reasons I probably won't pick up the note 8.

I haven't had any issues accessing the fingerprint scanner, but it can be inconvenient when the Note 8 is on a flat surface which it is a lot of the time when I'm at work. Other than that I haven't had any issues.

Not ideal but I'm not too bothered for a few reasons

A) There are plenty of alternative ways to unlock the phone , iris scanning, facial recognition and even voice commands. Plus you can use trusted places when at home.

Yes but people like to complain and if you start throwing out alternatives that easily work.... well.. then.. what would there be to complain about!!

I agree, I wear an LG Tone Bluetooth headset all day at work (couldn't imagine having to hold phone to my head any more, but that's a whole other post). It makes the perfect "Trusted Device". Same with my truck Bluetooth. Add to that home and office set as "Trusted Places" and you almost eliminate the unlock process all together.

I do understand a few apps will allow access from the fps and I have a few. One I use a few times each day. Not a deal breaker, and I'm getting better at using the fps each day.

People do like to complain, if not for that they'd have nothing to do.

After using it for a day and a half I really don't see what the big deal is. So I have to slide my finger up the back of the phone a little bit? It isn't the end of the world. Sure on the front on the note 5 was slightly more convenient, but it is by no means the disaster people make it out to be

Agreed but I'm coming from a V20. The position is slightly off center so I'm still adjusting.

I'm still wondering what the fuss was about on the fingerprint scanner placement. I find it in a good spot and it doesn't smudge any of the other sensors, again I'm good! Just my 2 cents.
