Fingerprint swipe for notification panel?

So on my previous phone (s8) I used and enjoyed this feature. On my new n8 it's working, but backwards. When I swipe up the notification panel drops down. If I enable the swipe up to launch Samsung pay, then that too works in reverse (meaning I actually have to swipe down for it to bring up Samsung pay). Anyone else with this issue?

So, figured I'd update this for future reference. The phone now functions as expected...swipe down and notification window comes down as expected. Unfortunately I don't know how/when it fixed itself although my guess would be a reboot solved the issue.
