Fingerprint unlock when encrypted

I'm wanting to better secure my phone, but I love using the fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone...can it be used when the phone is encrypted?
 
Yes you can. You would only need to use the pin/pw/pattern at first boot up. Otherwise you can use fingerprint.
