Firmware Update Has My LGg2 Frozen

i have the same problem with the guy that started the topic ...
So I installed some system update that they sent me last night. When I restarted my phone this morning, it just says "Firmware Update: DO NOT UNPLUG the USB connection until the process is complete." When that screen showed up, my phone wasn't even connected to anything. So, I plugged it in via USB to my Mac, and the screen hasn't changed at all. The meter on the screen still shows 0% of the process is complete. Do I have to plug it in to a PC in order to finish the update?

lg g2 d802 doesn't have a removable battery and whatever i do. it shows me the firmware update screen and stuck at 0% at the phone and 10% at lg support mobile tool !!

it's first time i see something like this, please tel me what i can do ?

thank you all in advance

edit used a usb cable from lg and fixed it immediately :)

all these answers are useless you need to press the down volume and start buttons at the same time hold them down till phone restarts

Even I faced the same problem. I tried all the solutions stated in replies to your question on this thread. Nothing worked. So I removed the battery . Then i did a "hard reset" ( press the "on button" for 1 minute after the battery is removed) ... Then I re-inserted the battery and powered/switched the phone "on" normally. It worked.

how long do I have to hold the power button? I've been holding it for maybe about 20 mins but still nothing :-\

Heya, I freaked out when I saw the firmware update sign but I was
lucky I guess. All I did was remove the phones battery (LG L70) waited 10 minutes
then put it back in. Restarted using the power button normally and all I had to do then
was reset the date and time on the phone. I didn't lose my contacts, settings etc
but this has prompted me to update all my contacts to another device / cloud.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks....I held the power button down until the LG symbol came on and it worked like a charm. My G3 received a security update for marshmallow before this happened.

If you can take the battery out. Do so. Just did it on my daughters phone! Hope this works for ya!

Saw the message on the screen once I was pulling phone from the charger. 0% progress.

No problem, just power and volume down. Hold until LG logo comes up. LG G Flex2 H955

(sorry for my english...:))

I had same problem I'm using the LG G Flex(original one) I am rooted. I completely unplugged everything pressed power and up buttons at the same time. Screen restarted a few times then I let go. And turned the phone on and now works fine. Don't know what cause mine to do the firmware update in the first place. I never initiated it to start. I'm wondering if someone tried hacking into my phone and or was trying to wipe my phone completely clean???

i just repeatedly took the battery out and turned it on while holding the volume up button until my phone turned on normaly repeat this if it doesnt turn on normally and goes into download mode
