Lookout Mobile. For as long as it's taken to get this I would be inconsolable if I lose it. The GPS and alarm has saved me multiple times when I've left my Eris somewhere.

Wow!!!! That one sounds good!!! I lose my phone or leave it somewhere all the time. That will be a lifesaver. I'm coming from a storm 1, so I'm not used to these "apps" things. My phone didn't have the memory to handle the software that it was preloaded with.:(

Does Lookout Mobile have a self-destruct option where it explodes when you trigger it from the web?

There are so many things I want to try. I can't wait. Beyond just the neat things and mundane functional things, I want to find ways to use the phone that change the way I go about my daily life and free me up or empower me or inform me in ways only ubiquitous cloud contact could do. I'd also like to take maximum advantage of the accelerometer, gps, compass, camera, etc. to consolidate to the functions of as many separate gizmos as possible into this device. Here is my Day 1 list so far:

AppBrain
DoubleTwist Player
DoubleTwist AirSync
Winamp
SoundHound
Dropbox
AstridTask
Angry Birds
Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader, Aldiko Reader, Cool Reader, PalmBookReader
Read It Later
Google Reader
Google Goggles
Astro File Manager
Wifi Analyzer
Simplenote, Evernote, AK Notepad
Voice Recorder
Flash Player
Mint
Smart Measure
Spirit Level Plus
Barcode Scanner
Google Shopper
Urbanspoon
Yelp
ShopSavvy
LauncherPro
A few grocery list builders
A few speed/performance test apps
A few password managers
A few alternate browsers

Well in a perfect world the Superuser app would be my first, then Ad-Free from the market so I don't have to look at the ads in Angry Birds. :) Plus, you can then turn Flash to "always on" and not have to look at the Flash ads in the browser:):)

1. Launcher Pro
2. Handcent
3. Google Voice
4. Desktop Visualizer
5. Apps Organizer
6. Androzip
7. Stock Froyo Gallery (for the picture frame widget..WTF HTC?)

And many others but yeah those were the most important initially.

I just downloaded the Open Watch app so if I have any interactions with an overzealous law enforcement agent I can make them a Youtube star!

EDIT: The perk of this app is that you can quickly and easily upload footage to a server before a lunatic cop has a chance to snag and wipe your phone.
