There are so many discussions about the release date on the TB, I would like to talk about something else :)

So I'd like to know what the first apps you plan on downloading to your Thunderbolt.

Mine will be:

IMDB
AppBrain
Words With Friends
Angry Birds
Power Amp

i don't have an android phone, but what i will miss from my crackberry & install is Tether, Dropbox, SmrtGuard, Poynt, Evernote, CalorieCounter, Flixster, Pandora, and some sort of MSN IM chat client.

Mine:

- Android Central (i can't believe nobody said this! :p)
- Engadget
- Tapatalk
- Swype
- Angry Birds
- Words With Friends
- Quadrant
- Speedtest
- Weather Channel
- Advanced Task Killer
- Androidify!

Swype comes with it already installed.
But I want everything!
But the Emulator will be on the top.
This is my 1st Android so idk many apps.

angry birds
android central
words with friends
twitter
facebook
fios dvr manager
NoLED

not sure of any android apps, but I do know one of one specific one I want:

thumb keyboard

as for other apps, I only used a couple on blackberry. mainly because of low memory. however i would like to see:

TIME mag app
Poynt....

wow I'm looking through my phone and i really don't have any apps. kinda depressing. I would like though angry birds, some sort of chess app (I know I sound like a dork), and Worms. maybe that's what I'll do my first day, get lost in the Android Market.

These are my staples:

- Pandora Radio
- Shazam
- Angry Birds
- Skype
- Amazon/eBay
- GameCentral (for gamefly)
- Sportacular

In no particular order:

Docs to go Premium
Kindle
Drop Box
Paypal
Shoot Me (Screen capture)
Minimalistic Text
LED app of some kind (replacing BerryBuzz)
and a lot more Root only apps as soon as the phone is rooted.

You want NoLED to replace berrybuzz. Trust me! Uses the whole screen rather than just the light.

whats the advantage to using programs like NoLED wouldn't turning on the screen for every notification drain the battery much faster

Hey guys...I've played with a lot of Androids and configd them for several people, but not day to day so I'm only familiar with 20-25 apps. Any chance you could include a 3-4 word description for kinda noobs like myself? Whats poweramp? And maybe notate if they're root only?

Mine doesnt turn on the screen, but has an icon that floats on the (black) screen. You can set it to turn off after a certain amount of time if you want. I like seeing the color coded icon rather than a flashing light. it's a personal preference.
