The asynchronous Theory sounds plausible. The developer phone anandtech had was optimized for gaming performance and clocked higher so that explains his higher benchmark results. But again, a other people said, as long as it does what it want it to do, i much prefer it to the sgs2

I'm really really happy about the camera performance. This has been a sore spot for evo users for a long time.

The hypothesis seems to be that the reason that the scores are so low is because of the asynchronous processors. Even accounting for the higher res screen (which should only really impact graphics scores) the overall scores being seen are suspiciously low. With the SoC being able to shut individual cores down completely, i think it could be causing issues with the benchmark suites. Maybe the SoC is shutting down a core during the benchmark and that is dragging down the score.

I mentioned this a couple of times in the thread that was moved after FocusFreak ruined it. Unfortunately I have found precious little information about the implications of the asynchronous processors in terms of performance, benchmarks and battery life. I find it very disappointing that everyone has conveniently ignored this fundamental difference in their rush to discuss benchmarks, hail rivals phones and complain about the Sensation/EVO 3D. Very few reviews and technology sites even mention it let alone take a few minutes to consider what it means. There are lots of questions about CPU power management in general and the implication it has on applications. At this point no-one knows what is happening with regard to the phone choosing to run one processor or two and the speeds involved. The obvious assumption is that it will increase battery life but I would rather have some numbers to discuss. I would hope HTC is continuing to tweak things and that it can be user adjusted once people start to play around with the device. Regardless once 2.4 arrives we should see a performance boost anyway.

Comon guys stop fueling the troll fire please..... Anyways TESO DOS BICHOS has a point too. So far there isnt much if any info on how the new tech on these CPUs work so hopefully we will get more info from HTC about it so we can properly test it. Also i wonder if the GPU integration is set up like Nvidia's Optimus tech were it is turned off till certin programs enable its use.
If this is true then i bet there will be a need for drivers & a list to add the programs we want using the GPU. This will help alot on battery life as it did with my laptop (alienware M11x R2). Anyways any info on this would be appreciated thanks.

For warranty don't you have to ship your unit to them first? Atleast thats what my friend had to do with her Evo. I'm hoping hers was a seperate case.

Wirefly is legit. I got my TP2 from them a year or so ago. It was a great price, and shipped pretty fast.

Well, i used (wasted) my Gold Premiere upgrade on a wirefly replacement for $80. Was too good to pass up.
