First negative review I have seen... blames Pentile

Just random minor stuttering with screen transitions. Flipping through homescreens, or bringing up menus. It was very minor, and I've noticed the same things in the EVO 3D and Photon which is why ive still got my Nexus S

Sorry bro, calling you on this one. I have used a nexuS. In no way is it faster than the hardware current Androids like the SG2 and Bionic sport. Sorry buddy.

Where in that statement did I say the Nexus S was faster? I said I noticed stuttering on the new dual core phones which is why I still have my Nexus. None of the dual core phones are a clear upgrade over a rooted Nexus S.

I will call you out on this one though. Plenty have dumped the EVO 3D for the Nexus S and talk about how its faster. Whether you want to argue about that or not, the Nexus is similar in speed in everyday tasks to the dual cores. Rooted, ROMed, and kernel, and mine is buttery smooth. My friend with the Bionic was surprised by it.

I didn't come here to argue, just give my impressions of the phone. Not quite sure why I'm getting attacked for it

Just want to throw something out there for all the people who are using the lock screen on the Bionic as evidence of it's horrible display.

The lock screen is SUPPOSED to look like a screen door. Look at the areas around the lock icon and sound icons - you'll see the difference. They are supposed to be like a 'hole in the door' so to speak.

Just for the record, I wasn't using the lock screen as a reference.

Never experienced any such thing. No lagging, no stuttering, no NOTHING that showed a slow down.

It was extremely minor. I've noticed the same on the EVO3D and the Photon. I'm thinking its probably due to the skins on top of Android. Again, before people start biting my head off, all I'm saying is what I noticed. I didn't say it wasn't a good phone, just that I saw some extremely minor lag and that I was surprised to find out that tthe screen door effect some are talking about was extremely evident to me(surprisingly)

Edit:And I'm also reading people that bought it complaining about interface lag, so its definitely not just me

I haven't dealt with any lag at all, thankfully. I notice every pixel on the display, but it's still a great display IMO. Enjoy the colors, the brightness in full daylight, and the power savings. The only thing I'll send this thing back for would be the Prime, which should be within my 90-day exchange window at Costco.

Coming from T-Mobile and their MyTouch 4G I can honestly say that for my wife and myself this phone has been a Godsend. I plan my entire life on my phone in the industry that I'm in and the abilities this phone has far surpass what I could do on the MyTouch 4G. Verizon's LTE network has impressed the hell out of me and with this phone just to save battery life I switched off my 4G network and I get faster speeds through Verizon's 3G network than I did with T-Mobile's 4G HSPA network.

In regards to the display, I have also seen the "screen door" effect. I did the live grass wallpaper test. I scrutinized my texts and websites on the screen and have come to the conclusion that: Yes, I can see the screen door in certain conditions. Yes, the live grass wallpaper is pixelated. Yes, some of my texts and some web browsing is pixelated. Hell, I even watched a couple of movies via Netflix and the night time images seem a bit dark. Does any of this matter to me when compared to the performance of the phone? Nope. Every phone has it's flaws and every phone will be picked apart by those that hate it. For a great many of us this phone works magnificently and we'll just agree to disagree that the small flaws in it's display are world ending and turn the phone to crap. I'll keep my decent battery life, blazing fast speeds, and functionality while all of the videophiles rave about their phones that have crap battery life but look just as good as their 73inch flat screen HDTV's with 98273490857923475hz refresh rates (yes, I was being facetious there).

Gizmodo is probably the worst tech review website currently on the internet.
They used to be good, and reliable. Now all of their reviews read like they were written by twelve-year-olds and are dripping with more bias than the US Government.
What did they expect webtop to be? At least its still faster than most netbooks, and the battery life is comparable if not better when using the lapdock.
And the pentile display IS not that bad. I only started to notice the grain AFTER installing a screen protector, which is more than likely the CAUSE of the grain I am seeing because it was like that on my HTC with a screen protector and all screens with an Anti-Glare coating (that I have seen). Most of the grain comes from the terrible color banding in the gradients used in a lot of the stock widgets and apps. This is no fault of the phone, or the display (unless it really does suck at displaying THAT MANY shades, which is unlikely)

Also, I hope to GOD all of this Pentile QQ isn't because your eye can discern the pixel pitch (i.e. its not a "retina display"). Because if it is, people need to get their brains checked, I can discern the pixels even on a "retina display" which is supposed to be impossible.
